Legacy Joins Brakes for Breasts to Help Put the Brakes on Breast Cancer
At Legacy Tire & Auto Repair, giving back has always been part of who we are.
As a woman-owned, family-operated local business, we know how important it is to support the people and causes that strengthen the community around us. That is why we are proud to partner with Brakes for Breasts this October and join independent repair shops across the country in supporting breast cancer vaccine research.
Brakes for Breasts brings together independent auto repair shops each October with one shared goal: help put the brakes on breast cancer. Through October 31, 2026, customers completing a qualifying brake service at Legacy can give or get up to $40. That means you have a choice: take advantage of the promotional savings yourself or choose to give the value back to support Brakes for Breasts and the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.
Since the program began in Ohio in 2011, Brakes for Breasts has raised more than $2.4 million for breast cancer vaccine research. In 2025 alone, 131 independent repair shops across 34 states raised nearly $293,000.
Why This Partnership Matters to Legacy
Breast cancer touches families, friends, coworkers and communities everywhere. For us, participating in Brakes for Breasts is about using what we do every day to help support something much bigger than auto repair.
As a woman-owned business, this partnership feels especially meaningful. We are proud to stand alongside other independent shops and use our work to support research focused on prevention and a future where fewer families have to hear the words “breast cancer.”
It is also another way for Legacy to continue investing in the community where we work, live and serve.
Get Your Brakes Checked and Help Make a Difference
Throughout October, qualifying brake services at Legacy will help support the Brakes for Breasts campaign.
So, if your brakes have been squeaking, grinding, vibrating, pulling or simply telling you they need a little attention, October is a great time to have them checked. Together, we can take care of our vehicles, support important research and help put the Brakes on Breast Cancer.
